Dover Harbour Swathe Bathymetry Survey
Pelorus Surveys have recently completed a hydrographic survey of within the Port of Dover limits utilising the latest Interferometric Swathe Bathymetry Echo Sounder technology. This technology enables the Pelorus Surveys to achieve 100% isonification of the seabed previously unachievable by single beam techniques.
The survey comprised of four areas of interest within the harbour varying from an integrity check of a wreck to clarification of bed levels in link span and dredge areas.
Swathe bathymetry technology has rapidly advanced in the last few years resulting in a smaller, portable and cost effective survey tool for the inshore survey market. This survey method is increasingly requested on many projects such as pipeline integrity surveys, wreck surveys, windfarms and traditional bathymetry surveys for navigation or engineering purposes.
