Soil Mechanics is part of ESGL a multi disciplined environmental consulting, testing and inspection organisation trading from 11 offices throughout the UK, Ireland and internationally with a £30m turnover and over 500 staff.
Geocone is a specialist testing unit of Soil Mechanics and carries out Cone Penetration Testing (CPT), Pressuremeter Testing and Instrumentation. We require an individual to join our small team primarily as a CPT Operator but other duties will include fieldwork in all aspects of Geocones Work.
The position requires a highly motivated individual who is flexible, well organised and willing to work away from home. A premium will be paid for someone with CPT experience and training will be given on all aspects of the work. Knowledge of plant maintenance would be an advantage as would basic computer literacy and an HGV licence.
The position will nominally be based at Doncaster, though this location is flexible.
Soil Mechanics offer a highly competitive salary, weekend overtime, a generous allowance system as well as a Contributory Pension Scheme. This position also attracts a financed vehicle.
